The room was great-sized & brand-new with the bath as well as a good bathroom. The service was VERY EFFICIENT, no complains at all. The location was excellent and stunning for traveling around Madrid, next to the galleries and la chueca or the Atocha and the Barrio Salamanca. Furthermore, in a high rent neighborhood. Amazing food in the rooftop restaurant was the best part.

The hotel in Madrid has VERY WELCOMING staff at the reception desk. The rooms have been recently remodelled and are modern, each with its own bathroom, an electric kettle, and glassware.- Fantastic location in a charming area, just a 15-minute walk from an urban park.- Situated near a bowling alley and nightclub, in one of the nicest neighborhoods in Madrid, the prestigious Salamanca neighborhood.

The bathroom in our fancy room was really spacious. Plus, the spot where we stayed was top-notch, just a short 15-minute stroll to Plaza de Colon. The vibe was super cozy and the staff provided top-notch service. 😊

My wife and I stayed at a nearby hotel several months ago (Hotel Adler) that was a wonderful boutique luxury hotel. For this trip with our teen age daughter, and we wanted to be in the same area (Salamanca) but spend less money for accommodations. We found the Gran Hotel Velazquez to be a great alternative: same convenient location and cheaper. Although the concierge and other services of the Gran Hotel Velazquez are not up to the standards of top luxury hotels, they are adequate. The other guests were at least 50% Spaniards which we took to be an endorsement of the value offered by the ghv. We would go back.

There's a cool bar right here, and my room was super quiet with a comfy sofa and a view of Calle Velasquez 🍸. The location is just awesome, nestled in a lovely area.
